Description
A late 19th Century, aesthetic style circular silver powder box, etched with a bird, a fly, blossom and branches in intricate detail. The Minerva stamp is present with the number ‘1’ denoting 950 silver. The gilt interior has a mirror in excellent condition. The underside is stamped ‘A.M. Tallois & Mayence, 19 Bd De Strasbourg, Paris’. Tallois and Mayence were high quality silversmiths in Paris who worked from this address from about 1880.
Condition: very minor scratches commensurate with age and use
